The Material Coordinator - Procurement works out of our store location within our facility to receive deliveries from vendors and prepare orders to serve our internal customers. The shift will generally be 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm Monday - Friday.  This position will require the flexibility to cover shifts as required during the days, evenings, and overnight. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions:

• Support Maintenance Department to reduce downtime with planning/execution of work orders
• Support Procurement Team with data entry and other clerical tasks
• Data entry for Microsoft GP system to document and control plant store expenses
• Receiving items and putting away materials into proper bin locations 
• Advising and following up with appropriate personnel for special order items
• Scanning items out of the store
• Perform verification, cycle counts and spot counts
• Assist with variance investigations
• Maintain a high level of customer service
• Completion of daily reports and other reports as requested 
• Advising and following up with appropriate personnel 

To succeed in this role, you possess:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Grade 12 Education or equivalent
• Computer literate, strong Microsoft Office skills necessary.
• Accounting and data entry experience are assets
• Mechanical aptitude and/or parts store experience are assets
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to do physical labour and operate motorized equipment such as telehandler, shunt truck and high-rise.
