Alberta Travel Living Inc. is a newly established tourism and technology startup dedicated to promoting Alberta’s hidden gems and connecting ethnocultural communities, newcomers, and international visitors to unique travel experiences.

We are looking for a Web Application Developer with a passion for travel and innovation to help build TravelAB, an AI-powered travel platform that supports multilingual users (starting in English and French).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the web-based application that allows users to:

• Explore and book Alberta travel attractions and experiences

• Create, modify, and share itineraries

• Interact with AI-driven travel recommendations

• Enable transaction features and data collection for user insights

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the TravelAB web application (front-end and back-end).

• Integrate APIs for tourism data, payment systems, and maps.

• Design databases for user profiles, attractions, and itinerary management.

• Work collaboratively with the project founder and marketing/administration team.

• Ensure the platform’s scalability, performance, and data security.

• Participate in UX/UI design discussions and user testing.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of web application development experience.

• Proficiency in frameworks such as React, Node.js, or similar full-stack tools.

• Knowledge of API integration, payment gateways, and data collection systems.

• Experience in tourism or e-commerce platforms is an asset.

• Passion for travel, culture, and innovation.

• Bilingual in English and French is an asset; additional languages are a plus.
